Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Custodian to join our dynamic facilities team In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Your energetic approach to cleaning and custodial tasks will ensure that all spaces—whether commercial, residential, or industrial—are kept in pristine condition. Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across various areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
• Conduct detailed floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance.
• Execute industrial cleaning tasks, including the use of specialized equipment for heavy-duty cleaning projects.
• Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, ceilings, and fixtures to uphold a hygienic environment.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting (including residential painting), and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Manage janitorial supplies inventory, restocking materials as needed to ensure continuous operation without interruption.
• Support porter responsibilities by moving furniture or equipment and ensuring public areas are tidy and accessible.
• Follow safety guidelines diligently during all cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or hazards.

Experience

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred.
• Strong background in cleaning techniques including floor care (buffing, stripping, waxing).
• Experience with residential painting or general facilities maintenance is a plus.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods and equipment operation is advantageous.
• Familiarity with commercial cleaning products and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
• Prior porter experience or background in facilities upkeep will be considered an asset.
