We are looking to hire top talent to join our dynamic team ND Paper offers full benefits and a competitive compensation. We are currently seeking an experienced Traffic Specialist to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading the safe execution of work.
  • Responsible for processing outbound truck shipments and all incoming equipment
  • Coordinates and schedules rail switching activities
  • Works closely with the Mill's 3rd party switching contractors.
  • Processes and maintains the necessary paperwork including bill of laden, customs documents, and other logistics related documents.
  • Maintains and updates local database for both rail and truck traffic.
  • Maintains and updates databases for rail traffic
  • Generate vehicle reports as needed

  • Strong troubleshooting abilities

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in processing paperwork
  • Ability to analyze shipment or traffic issues and identify solutions
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Supports the Order Management and Logistics departments as needed

Technical & Functional Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in logistics or related field

  • Knowledge of logistics, shipping, and transportation processes

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Understanding of bills of lading, customs documentation, and shipment workflows
  • Ability to coordinate rail and truck traffic efficiently
  • Strong data entry and database management skills
  • Ability to read, interpret, and process logistics documentation

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work effectively with truck drivers, rail contractors, logistics partners, and internal teams
  • Ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organization

Operational & Safety Skills

  • Strong awareness of safety practices in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to follow established safety protocols and encourage safe work behavior
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive operational setting
