Auto Body Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have experience in auto body repair, auto painting, and fabrication, with a strong focus on restoring vehicles to their original condition. This role requires proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding, and auto glass installation. A background in dealership service or automotive repair is highly desirable. The Auto Body Technician will be responsible for performing repairs, refinishing, and detailing work on a variety of vehicles, ensuring quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Repair and restore vehicle bodies using auto body repair techniques including dent removal, panel replacement, and sheet metal work
• Perform auto painting using airless paint spraying equipment and ensure a high-quality finish
• Conduct welding tasks such as MIG welding, soldering, and fabrication to repair or modify vehicle components
• Replace or repair auto glass and perform detailing to meet manufacturer standards
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely and effectively during repairs
• Assist with vehicle assembly, disassembly, and reassembly as needed for restoration projects
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs and estimated completion times

Requirements

• Proven experience in auto body repair, auto painting, or dealership service preferred
• Skilled in MIG welding, fabrication, sheet metal work, and auto restoration techniques
• Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including vehicle maintenance and repair
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and welding equipment
• Strong understanding of auto glass installation and detailing processes
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on vehicles for extended periods
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients
• Knowledge of auto estimating processes is a plus
• Automotive repair or mechanic experience is desirable but not mandatory for all applicants

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $28.30 per hour
