Essential Functions

• Use tools such as welders, torches, grinders, drills, screw guns, rivet guns, saws, hand tools, and other required tools.
• Accurately weld and assemble components to meet the job requirements while focusing on safety and quality and the use of Engineered drawings, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and Plant paperwork.
• Operate machines and equipment such as fume extractors, overhead cranes, drill press, wood and metal cutting band and circular saws and other basic assembly shop machinery.
• Weld aluminum, galvanized, carbon and stainless steel.
• Set-up, position, measure, and fit components together according to Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and or Plant paperwork.
• Locate defects and or errors in materials and components
• Accurately perform measurements with a tape measure and scale.
• Able to work at variable heights including on ladders, on platforms, and other surfaces.
• Operate Powered Industrial Truck and Ariel Lift and maintain certifications.
• Work in a safe manner and reports unsafe activity and conditions; stop and notify supervisor if a situation appears unsafe.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Experience

• 1-2 years of welding or fabrication experience involving large and small steel, aluminum, fiberglass or wooden parts using handheld and power tools and equipment.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
