Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our full-service hotel property. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality management experience, and a proven background in full-service hotel environments. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of managing staff, optimizing revenue, and ensuring the highest standards of hospitality are maintained across all departments, including food and beverage operations. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to effectively communicate with diverse guests and staff.

The Hotel General Manager will be responsible for maintaining operational excellence, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily hotel operations of a full-service property, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, banquet/events, and guest services
  • Lead and supervise department managers and staff to ensure efficient service delivery and adherence to hotel policies and brand standards
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue through effective budgeting, pricing, sales, and yield management initiatives
  • Manage all human resources functions, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, coaching, and staff development
  • Maintain high standards of guest relations by promptly addressing concerns and ensuring memorable guest experiences
  • Oversee reservation systems, multi-line phone systems, and front desk operations with professionalism and courtesy
  • Monitor hotel financial performance through revenue management techniques, cost controls, and budget oversight
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, health standards, labor laws, and hotel policies
  • Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure property upkeep, cleanliness, and safety standards are met
  • Foster a positive team culture that promotes leadership development, accountability, and employee engagement

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven supervisory or senior leadership experience in full-service hotel operations
  • Extensive background in hotel management, including guest services, front desk operations, night audit procedures, food and beverage operations, and resort or full-service environments
  • Strong knowledge of revenue management strategies, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Excellent customer service and guest relations skills with the ability to handle complex situations diplomatically
  • Experience with human resources functions such as staffing, training, scheduling, and performance management
  • Multilingual or bilingual proficiency strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on team development and operational excellence
  • Familiarity with multi-line phone systems, professional phone etiquette, and hotel management software

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
