Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging speech therapy sessions for pediatric patients, including those in early intervention programs.
  • Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to support students with speech and language needs in school environments.
  • Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies to maximize outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to reinforce therapy goals at home.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

Experience

  • Prior school experience working with children in educational or clinical settings is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in pediatrics or early intervention programs demonstrates your ability to work effectively with young patients.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology related to speech production and swallowing functions is essential.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy enhances your ability to accurately assess and treat complex cases.
  • Experience conducting patient assessments and developing individualized therapy plans is required.
