Responsibilities

• Operate snow plowing equipment, including snow blowers, shovels, and trucks equipped with plows to remove snow from roads, sidewalks, and parking areas
• Use hand tools such as shovels, brooms, and salt spreaders to clear smaller or hard-to-reach areas effectively
• Apply salt, sand, or de-icing agents to prevent ice formation and enhance safety on walking surfaces
• Conduct routine inspections of work sites to identify icy patches or obstacles that require attention
• Maintain and perform basic maintenance on snow removal equipment to ensure optimal operation throughout the season
• Collaborate with landscaping or maintenance teams to coordinate snow removal efforts with other seasonal outdoor work
• Follow safety protocols diligently while operating machinery and handling materials in winter conditions

Requirements

• Mechanical knowledge of snow removal equipment, power tools, and hand tools used in winter maintenance
• Prior experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, or general outdoor property upkeep is a plus
• Familiarity with landscaping techniques such as hardscape installation or gardening can be beneficial for multi-season roles
• Ability to operate heavy machinery like excavators or other construction-related equipment is advantageous but not mandatory
• Strong understanding of safety procedures related to snow plowing and outdoor maintenance operations
• Physical stamina to work outdoors in cold weather conditions for extended periods
• Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward maintaining safe environments during winter months

Pay: $40.00 per hour
