1st Americare is seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide personalized, one-on-one support to an individual with developmental disabilities in the Atlantic City area.
This part-time role is ideal for caregivers who are passionate about promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life in a supportive and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care and support according to the individual's DDD support plan
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) respectfully and professionally
• Safely transport the individual to community activities and appointments
• Participate in quarterly team meetings
• Complete and submit accurate, timely shift documentation
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with individuals in the DDD program
• Reliable, compassionate, and patient demeanor
• Ability to assist with personal care in a respectful, gentle manner
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with families and healthcare professionals
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
