Job Overview

As a member of Harbinger's Vehicle Systems team, you will play an active role in defining system attributes, requirements, and design choices to engineer a class-leading battery system. You will support vehicle development and test, system simulation, and software feature definition.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop system requirements for HV battery to meet vehicle targets
  • Set requirements for system performance and life
  • Own design failure mode and effects analysis of battery management system
  • Create and execute design validation plan
  • Coordinate vehicle testing to support BMS development and validation
  • Review vehicle data to analyze performance and root-cause issues or performance deficiencies
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams within Harbinger and external vendors

Who You Are:

  • Intimate knowledge of modern electric vehicle high voltage battery management systems
  • Experience with battery cell performance, characterization, degradation, diagnostics, and algorithms
  • Ability to ensure seamless, predictable behavior of the battery management system
  • Experience defining electrical hardware and functions such as contactors, precharge circuitry, current sensors, fuses, wiring, and isolation detection
  • Experience developing functional test plans, test plan execution, data acquisition, data processing, and reporting
  • Knowledge of DVP&R and DFMEA
  • Experienced working with suppliers to delivery high-quality results

California Pay Range $120,000—$160,000 USD Equal Opportunity
