We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented
Supply Planning Analyst
to join our Supply Chain team. The
Supply Planning Analyst
reports through the supply chain function supporting the team in the Sales, Inventory and Operation Planning (SIOP) process by analyzing material forecasts, ensuring alignment of supply with demand, and optimizing inventory levels. This is a cross-functional role, requiring communication and collaboration with our operations, sales, procurement, and finance functions to minimize risks and improve the supply chain. Another significant part of the role involves leading and contributing to projects that generate substantial value in the supply chain, aiming for continuous improvement in processes and cost-effectiveness.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Balance appropriate customer service levels and overall inventory objectives.
  • Utilize PFEP-Plan for Every Part methodology to determine optimal stocking levels and supply plans to support our customers.
  • Identify and manage excess and obsolete product with a continuous improvement approach to minimize future causes.
  • Proactively communicate potential supply issues with Sourcing while leading issue resolution.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure successful supply to plants, KPIs are being met, and continuous improvement is being achieved.
  • Assume lead role in management of MRP tools necessary to drive inventory levels to support key metrics/business objectives.
  • Take ownership of and maintain material master settings to maintain efficient workflows and the proper flow of inventory through our supply chain and to the customer.
  • Support the monthly Supply Review (Supply/Demand balancing) meetings as a part of the SIOP process.
  • Present department Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to general managers and various levels of senior and executive leadership (customer fill rate, inventory days on hand, aging inventory, etc.).
  • Create processes to manage both stocking and made-to-order items.
  • Ensure aligned inventory strategies are incorporated into updated supply plans.
  • Conduct monthly root cause analysis of KPI's for their site(s) – and identify corrective actions.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply planning, materials planning, or a related supply chain management role.
  • Strong analytical skills with applied statistical knowledge to support demand, supply, and inventory planning decisions.
  • Hands-on experience with S&OP, SIOP, or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including building complex models and working with large datasets; experience with Power BI strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and managing Excel and database files, with SQL query development experience a plus.
  • Extensive MRP planning experience, with a strong preference for SAP and M2M environments.
  • Exposure to data warehousing, analytics platforms, or business intelligence tools is a plus.
  • ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
