Job Overview:

The Hostess plays a vital role in ensuring guests feel welcomed and well cared for during their visit. This person greets guests, manages reservations, and ensures proper seating arrangements. They serve as the face of the establishment, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean and organized reception area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests as they arrive and guide them to their table or waiting area.
• Manage reservations and the seating chart to ensure smooth seating and dining flow.
• Communicate with servers to ensure guests are seated appropriately and in a timely manner.
• Answer phone calls, provide information about the restaurant, and take reservations when necessary.
• Keep the entrance and waiting area clean and organized.
• Address any guest concerns or complaints, escalating issues to the manager when necessary.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and ensure a positive dining experience.
• Assist in maintaining the appearance of the dining area by clearing and resetting tables when needed.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A friendly, welcoming demeanor with a passion for customer service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred.
• Familiarity with reservation and point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
