We are hiring a dedicated Order Picker to join our busy logistics center in Houston, Texas. As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately select items from warehouse shelves according to order tickets, ensuring that the correct products and quantities are picked. This role requires a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety. You will be navigating the warehouse, utilizing picking equipment, and performing regular lifting of items up to 45 lbs. Strict adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory for maintaining a secure work environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve items from warehouse shelves based on pick lists.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipping.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in picking areas.
- Operate basic material handling equipment as needed.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and procedures.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Report any picking discrepancies to a supervisor promptly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs repetitively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists.
- Physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
