We are hiring a dedicated Receiving Clerk for our facility in Sacramento, California. The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing all incoming shipments. This role is essential for maintaining inventory integrity and ensuring that all goods are accounted for and prepared for storage or distribution within our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Accurately record all received items into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Tag and label inventory for proper storage.
- Report any damages, shortages, or overages to the appropriate personnel immediately.
- Organize and stage received goods for efficient put-away.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting as needed.
- Perform tasks requiring physical ability, such as Lifting boxes and moving pallets.
- Support overall warehouse operations and logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a related warehouse role.
- Familiarity with shipping documents and basic inventory procedures.
- Ability to perform accurate data entry and record-keeping.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices, including the use of PPE.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer literacy.
