We are hiring a dedicated Material Handler for our Madison, Wisconsin warehouse. This position is key to ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods through our logistics operations. You will be responsible for moving, organizing, and preparing materials for shipment, all while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Organize and store inventory in designated areas.
- Assist with receiving, put-away, and shipping processes.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any issues.
- Follow all established safety procedures and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Accurately record material movements and inventory adjustments.
- Contribute to overall warehouse productivity and teamwork.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating forklifts or as a material handler preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must wear required PPE, including safety shoes and gloves.
