Are you a certified and experienced Forklift Operator looking for a stable career in Madison, Wisconsin? We are hiring for a skilled Forklift Operator to manage the movement of goods within our busy distribution center. Your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently operate forklifts to load, unload, move, stack, and arrange products. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, proficiency in various forklift operations, and the ability to work in a dynamic logistics environment. You will be integral to maintaining the flow of inventory and ensuring smooth warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into warehouse racking.
- Move inventory to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and arrange products according to storage guidelines.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and guidelines for material handling.
- Ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices for lifting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
