Become a vital part of our logistics operations as a Forklift Operator in Richmond, Virginia. We are looking for certified and experienced individuals to safely and efficiently move materials throughout our warehouse. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of goods and ensuring productivity. Your primary responsibilities will include operating forklifts to transport, stack, and retrieve inventory, as well as loading and unloading trucks. You will also be involved in conducting daily inspections of your forklift, maintaining equipment, and assisting with general warehouse duties when not operating the forklift. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts
- Maintain forklift equipment in good working condition
- Transport inventory to and from designated areas
- Assist with receiving and shipping operations
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols, including PPE usage
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Adhere to company policies and logistics best practices
- Participate in inventory counts and audits
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures
- Familiarity with logistics operations
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Commitment to using PPE and adhering to safety regulations
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
