Join our dynamic logistics team in Madison, Wisconsin as a Material Handler! This role is essential for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading shipments, and ensuring the proper storage and organization of inventory. A strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork is crucial. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to ensure that materials are processed efficiently and accurately, contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations. We maintain a strong commitment to a safe working environment, requiring adherence to all safety policies and the use of appropriate PPE. - Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated locations.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Ensure the safe handling of all materials, adhering to Lifting guidelines.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals in logistics.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring frequent standing, walking, and Lifting up to 55 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices.
- Understanding of basic logistics concepts.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
