We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, load, unload, and arrange materials within our facility. Your role is crucial in supporting our warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory placement, and facilitating smooth shipping and receiving processes. The ideal candidate will have proven experience, a strong understanding of warehouse safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a demanding environment. Our commitment to safety means that adherence to all company policies and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is non-negotiable. This position involves regular lifting of items up to 50 pounds and requires excellent attention to detail and spatial awareness. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with incoming and outgoing goods.
- Transport inventory to and from storage locations.
- Stack and organize materials in designated areas, ensuring stability and safety.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Follow all safety procedures and warehouse protocols.
- Use required PPE consistently and correctly.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counting as needed.
- Support the logistics team by maintaining an organized work environment.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification or license.
- Previous experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Thorough knowledge of forklift operation safety and regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform other physical tasks as needed.
- Strong spatial reasoning and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
