Our Tampa, Florida warehouse is seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician . This role is pivotal in maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of our distribution center. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a dedication to ensuring our equipment and facility are in optimal condition. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance on warehouse machinery, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, conducting safety inspections, and assisting with general facility upkeep. You will play a key role in preventing downtime and ensuring a safe working environment for all staff. This position requires adherence to strict safety protocols and the correct use of PPE . The ability to perform tasks requiring moderate to heavy Lifting is also necessary. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics systems is a plus. Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment (conveyors, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
- Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of the facility and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental policies.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment.
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Properly utilize required PPE during all maintenance and repair tasks.
- Support general facility upkeep and grounds maintenance as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with various types of warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, and perform tasks involving Lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient logistics environment.
