Join our dynamic logistics team in Sacramento, California, as a Material Handler. This role is vital for ensuring the efficient flow of goods throughout our warehouse operations. You will be responsible for operating various types of material handling equipment, managing inventory placement, and ensuring the safe and timely movement of products. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace Safety and adherence to established procedures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent operational skills, physical endurance, and a keen understanding of warehouse logistics. Your contribution will directly impact our operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently.
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials and finished goods.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in cycle counting.
- Ensure that all work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with Safety regulations.
- Inspect equipment regularly and report any mechanical issues.
- Properly utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with loading and unloading trailers and containers.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the warehouse logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a Material Handler role or similar warehouse position.
- Certification to operate forklifts or other relevant machinery is a plus.
- Capability to handle significant physical tasks, including regular Lifting of objects up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and Safety procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
