*Essential Duties & Responsibilities*
*Regulatory Compliance & Food Safety*
* Ensure compliance with *CMS regulations*, Alabama Department of Public Health standards, and facility policies
* Maintain compliance with applicable *F-tags* related to food service, sanitation, and nutrition (including but not limited to F812, F801, F803)
* Oversee food safety practices including temperature monitoring, sanitation, cleaning schedules, and storage
* Maintain ServSafe certification and ensure proper training of dietary staff
*Menu & Nutrition Services*
* Implement facility-approved menus and ensure accurate menu execution
* Coordinate with the Registered Dietitian to ensure menus meet residents’ nutritional needs and physician-ordered diets
* Ensure therapeutic diets, texture modifications, and substitutions are served accurately
* Monitor meal quality, presentation, and resident satisfaction
*Staff Supervision & Training*
* Supervise dietary staff including cooks, aides, and utility personnel
* Schedule staff appropriately to meet operational needs
* Provide ongoing training and in-services on food safety, sanitation, and dietary procedures
* Ensure staff adherence to infection control and PPE requirements
*Inventory, Budget & Purchasing*
* Manage food and supply inventory
* Order food and supplies within established budget parameters
* Monitor food costs and minimize waste
* Ensure proper receiving, storage, and rotation of products
*Quality Assurance & Documentation*
* Maintain accurate documentation including temperature logs, sanitation records, menu substitutions, and production records
* Participate in QA/QAPI activities related to dietary services
* Address survey findings and implement corrective actions as needed
*Resident & Interdisciplinary Collaboration*
* Respond to resident concerns related to meals and dining services
* Participate in care plan meetings as needed
* Collaborate with nursing, administration, and therapy staff to support resident care
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
