Job title: Operations Engineer Salary: Negotiable, dependent on relevant experience Location: Within commutable distance of Cork (Ringaskiddy). The successful candidate will be covering sites in the Republic of Ireland, United Kingdom and occasionally mainland Europe. Contract Terms: Permanent Who are SteriTech? Steritech are a leading supplier of high-quality process equipment used in life science sectors within Ireland and UK. We are dedicated to the highly regulated pharma/biopharma manufacturing streams, but our equipment and expertise are also desirable in the laboratory and development sectors as for high end cosmetic manufacture. SteriTech work exclusively with long term partner principal suppliers who provide customised processing solutions for the pharmaceutical industry. Steritech’s principals are experts and global leaders in the manufacturer of Sterilisation, Washing, Bio Decontamination, Mixing, Clean Utility Generation equipment, Leak Testing and Sterile Filling. About this Role We are seeking to recruit an experienced Operations Engineer to delivery of the following activities across our equipment range; On-site technical assistance, root cause analysis, preventative maintenance, calibration, installation assistance, thermal validation and training to the high standards expected by our clients. Working Pattern & Travel Expectations This role involves extensive travel, across Ireland and the UK, with occasional assignments elsewhere in Europe. You’ll regularly stay away from home and play a key role in supporting customers wherever they are. The position also includes standby working, where you’ll be on call outside standard hours to provide rapid support (remotely or on-site) when our customers need it most. Key Responsibilities: * Serve as the technical point of contact between SteriTech, suppliers, and clients * Perform preventive maintenance, calibration and other routine services on sterilisation vessels, pure steam and water systems * Diagnose and resolve equipment faults; conduct root cause analysis * Respond to service requests promptly, restoring equipment per SLA targets * Prepare service, calibration, and technical reports in line with GDP standards * Adhere to legislative, environmental, quality, and health & safety policies of both the company and client Our Ideal Candidate Will Have: * Field operations/service experience within the pharmaceutical or similar sectors. * Technical confidence, adaptability, strong organisational skills, excellent time-management and a proactive, initiative-driven approach * Excellent communication skills, a professional appearance and a strong focus on client satisfaction * The ability to work effectively under pressure. * A strong enthusiasm to learn, develop, and take on new challenges The following requirements would be a distinct advantage; * Degree or equivalent Engineering Qualification * Previous sterilisation experience (large porous Load) * Previous water treatment experience * Previous process steam experience * Knowledge of European standards * GDP / GMP Knowledge and Experience What We Offer * Company van including personal use or mileage allowance * Company pension scheme * Paid overtime * Company and performance-based bonus schemes * Lunch and staying away allowance * Overnight expenses (hotels and meals) * Company phone, laptop, tools and uniform provided * Excellent progression opportunities supported by exclusive training and development on high-end process equipment At Steritech we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every requirement, we encourage you to apply anyway.
