Early Childhood Educator Level 1

Klorious Kids Childcare Center in Fort McMurray is looking to hire experienced Early Childhood Educator (Levels 1) for our classrooms. This position will assume the responsibility of delivering the childcare center program and working directly with children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist to Develop and implement childcare programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
• Develop strategies for children when dealing with emotions and behaviours and work with co-workers in its implementation.
• Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisor
• Document children's learning and prepare a working portfolio
• Assist in assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members.
• Ensure children are supervised and well-mannered at all times and keep an organized file of children's work and achievements.
• Responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of the classrooms.
• Ensure the security of all children and join to carry out monthly fire drills.

Qualifications:

• Level 1
• First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Current Criminal Record Check and vulnerability sector search.
• Child intervention record check

Knowledge/Skills:

• At least 1 year experience working in the Childcare field.
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and team skills.
• Openness to trying new instruction methods and techniques.
• Ability to remain calm in a challenging environment.
