Residential Care Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Worker to join our team and provide exceptional support to individuals in a residential setting. Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Support residents with medication administration and monitor vital signs to ensure health stability
• Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs, including memory care and dementia-specific strategies
• Help with meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining proper nutrition standards
• Operate EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems accurately to document care activities and resident progress
• Use assistive devices like Hoyer lifts safely during transfers and heavy lifting tasks
• Engage residents in social activities, behavioral management, and community outings to promote social well-being
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through routine cleaning tasks and adherence to infection control protocols
• Document incidents or behavioral challenges clearly while managing conflicts with patience and professionalism
• Support hospice or palliative care needs as required, respecting residents' dignity and comfort

Experience

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to assist with ADLs and provide direct support for individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges
• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory support techniques, and behavior management strategies
• Familiarity with medical terminology, HIPAA regulations for patient privacy, and basic first aid certification
• Experience using EMR systems for documentation and case management is advantageous
• Valid driver's license for transportation duties related to resident outings or appointments
• Strong communication skills in working effectively with residents, families, healthcare teams, and colleagues

Pay: $25.95-$29.76 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
