Accounts Receivable & Tradespend Specialist

As our Accounts Receivable & Tradespend Specialist you will manage collections of accounts receivable and lead the tradespend deduction analysis, accounting and dispute process through collaborations with our various departments and customer contacts, growing our mission to Kick Sugar, Keep Candy
This role reports to the Director, Finance and will be hybrid in Vancouver, BC. To support business priorities, core hours are from 9 a.m. PST to 3 p.m. PST. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

How You Will Support Our Mission (Responsibilities):

  • Monitor receivable balances for aging accounts and ensure timely collection of invoices through working closely with external customers and internal Sales Account Managers
  • Track and apply all payments to customer accounts
  • Accurately record, track and upload all tradespend deductions within our ERP and Trade software - Netsuite and Vividly
  • Consistent coordination and communication with the Sales team as well as actively participate in monthly P&L review meetings, to ensure all promotional activities are captured and accounted for in the financial statements
  • Monitor our tradespend and report regularly on tradespend vs. budget to the Finance team and Director, Trade & Sales Planning
  • Analyzing effectiveness of tradespend promotions and report findings to the Finance Team and Director, Trade & Sales Planning
  • Collaborate with the Sales team and Order Management team on payment and deduction disputes
  • Work closely with the Director, Finance and Accounting Manager on month-end close accounting processes
  • Work with the Accounting Manager and Community Marketing team on eCommerce payment processing, including refunds and reconciliations
  • Collaborate with other departments on ad-hoc projects

What You Bring (Qualifications & Experience):

  • Post-secondary education
  • Experience in a related role, preferably Account Management or Accounts Receivable
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite (particularly Excel), experience with Netsuite or Vividly are an asset
  • CPG experience is an asset
  • Detail-oriented, collaborative, and has excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external parties (written and verbal)
  • Ability to multi-task with ease
  • Self-motivated and excited to excel within a fast-paced company, comfortable adapting to and driving change
  • A team player who makes others' days better through your interactions and attitude

Compensation and Sweet Perks (Benefits):

The approximate base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $69,000. The actual base salary will be based on various factors, including the candidate's level of skills, experience and education aligned with the needs of the role, budget and market. This position is eligible for participation in a bonus program based on performance and company results. Please note, individuals must be employed by 09/30/26 to be eligible for the 2026 bonus.
