Our dynamic logistics company is seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Sacramento, California. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring that our customers receive the right products on time, every time. You will work closely with various departments, including receiving, shipping, and order fulfillment, to resolve discrepancies and implement improvements to our inventory management systems. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy are paramount. You will utilize our state-of-the-art Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels, monitor stock movement, and generate reports on inventory status. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to identify potential issues before they impact operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular physical inventories and cycle counts to ensure accuracy of inventory records.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder points to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
- Maintain organized and clean warehouse storage areas.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
- Train new team members on inventory management processes.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety regulations, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Support logistics operations by ensuring product availability.
- Must be comfortable with lifting up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related field.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving significant lifting.
