Our Sacramento, California facility is seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to maintain and improve the operational efficiency of our warehouse. This role is crucial for ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally and that our warehouse environment adheres to the highest standards of safety and organization. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyor belts, pallet jacks), troubleshooting mechanical issues, and assisting with the installation of new equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations and safety protocols. Experience with a variety of tools and machinery is essential. You will play a key role in preventative maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime and supporting the smooth flow of logistics. Adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure all equipment meets regulatory standards.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new warehouse equipment and systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Ensure the proper functioning of conveyor systems, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE and safe work practices.
- Support logistics operations by ensuring equipment readiness.
- Keep the workshop and maintenance areas clean and organized.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency with tools and equipment commonly found in a warehouse.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics flows.
- Understanding of safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
