We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our growing logistics team in Houston, Texas. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory through meticulous tracking, counting, and reconciliation. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, and implementing strategies to minimize stock errors. You will work closely with various warehouse departments to ensure proper product handling, storage, and rotation, all while adhering to stringent Safety standards. This position requires the ability to perform tasks involving moderate to heavy Lifting and a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS). Your proactive approach to identifying and addressing inventory challenges will be key to optimizing our supply chain efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain precise inventory records within the WMS.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels, identify trends, and report variances.
- Ensure proper product storage, handling, and FIFO rotation.
- Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to enhance inventory accuracy.
- Uphold strict Safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Must possess the ability for regular Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
