Role Overview The role combines Project Management and Design Engineering, managing projects through the outline and detailed design lifecycle.
What you’ll do day to day
Work as part of a “project triangle” with Site Manager and Quantity Surveyor.
Lead design of treatment or infrastructure projects from initial outline to detailed design, through construction, commissioning and handover.
Coordinate multidisciplinary team to ensure designs are completed on programme, within budget and quality standards.
Undertake design in your discipline and mentor less experienced colleagues.
Build relationships with client teams and promote a one‑team approach.
What you’ll need
Accredited Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Chartered or Incorporated Member of Engineering Institution or demonstrable progress toward those goals.
Experience with outline and detailed design of water or wastewater projects.
Knowledge of Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.
