to join their technical support team based in Birmingham. If you're experienced in Microsoft technologies and have worked in an MSP or IT services environment, this could be a great next step.
About the Role As a 2nd Line Engineer, you will deliver hands‑on technical support to a wide range of clients. You’ll be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues, managing devices and users, configuring systems, and escalating more complex tickets when required. You’ll work across both remote and on‑site environments.
What You'll Be Doing
Provide 2nd line technical support for a diverse client base
Resolve hardware, software, and cloud‑related incidents
Configure and manage systems, users, and devices
Maintain accurate records in the ticketing system
Escalate advanced technical issues as needed
Deliver clear and professional communication to users at all levels
Key Skills and Experience
Previous experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP)
Strong working knowledge of:
Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2012–2022
Microsoft 365, Active Directory, SCCM (or similar)
Virtualisation (VMware ESXi 7.0, Hyper‑V)
Backup tools such as Veeam
Confident communicator with strong problem‑solving skills
Able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
Full UK driving licence required
