Join our warehouse team in Indianapolis, Indiana, as a Receiving Clerk! This role is fundamental to our inventory management and supply chain operations. You will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming goods, including unloading, inspecting, verifying, and stocking inventory. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to Safety. Your work will directly support our logistics functions by ensuring that accurate inventory data is maintained and that goods are available for distribution. We emphasize a culture of Safety, and all employees are expected to follow procedures and wear the appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming trucks and verify contents against shipping documents.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage or defects and report findings.
- Accurately record all received inventory into the WMS.
- Identify and report any discrepancies in received shipments.
- Stage received items for put-away or distribution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate PPE as required.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, such as cycle counting.
- Must be capable of manual tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Support the overall logistics and inventory control functions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is preferred. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of warehouse Safety protocols. Basic computer skills. Experience with RF scanners is a plus. Commitment to accuracy and efficiency in logistics operations.
