Join our fast-paced warehouse operations as a Receiving Clerk in Nashville, Tennessee! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring all deliveries are accurately received, inspected, and documented. You'll be responsible for unloading trucks, verifying contents against purchase orders and invoices, and reporting any discrepancies or damages immediately. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of our inventory. This position is critical to our logistics network, ensuring that our inventory levels are accurate and that materials are ready for distribution or production. This role offers a chance to be part of a growing team and develop skills in warehouse management. Our focus on Safety is paramount, and you will be trained on all relevant procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect incoming products for damage or defects.
- Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system.
- Report any discrepancies, shortages, or damages to supervisors.
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits.
- Must have the ability to perform tasks involving Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations is highly desirable. Knowledge of inventory control procedures. Good organizational and record-keeping skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices. Experience with scanning equipment is a plus.
