This role is crucial for ensuring that all goods are accurately accounted for, inspected, and prepared for distribution. You will be responsible for maintaining precise records, verifying quantities and quality, and ensuring a smooth flow of inventory into the warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming freight from trucks.
- Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Verify quantities and product details.
- Tag and label incoming items for proper storage.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and put-away tasks as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, receiving, or inventory control role preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory principles.
- Commitment to safety protocols.
