We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our Columbus, Ohio warehouse. This role is vital for the efficient movement and storage of goods, playing a key part in our **Logistics** operations. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, transport materials within the facility, and assist with inventory management. **Safety** is our top priority, and adherence to all **Safety** protocols, including the proper use of **PPE**, is mandatory. The ideal candidate will possess excellent operating skills, a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, and a commitment to maintaining a secure work environment. While operating a forklift is the primary duty, there may be occasions requiring **Lifting** of goods manually. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and organize materials.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Conduct daily **Safety** inspections and basic maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counting as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all **Safety** guidelines and wear **PPE** at all times.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient **Logistics** flow.
- Perform **Lifting** duties as required when not operating a forklift.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or **Safety** concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse **Logistics** and inventory control.
- Ability to **Lift** up to 50 pounds.
- Strong commitment to **Safety** and accident prevention.
- Willingness to wear and maintain **PPE**.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
