We are looking for a certified Forklift Operator to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our warehouse and plays a vital part in our overall logistics chain. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely moving, loading, and unloading materials and goods within the facility. This includes operating various types of forklifts, performing pre-operation inspections, and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the efficient and safe handling of inventory, preventing damage to products, and minimizing workplace accidents. Strong awareness of your surroundings and a commitment to following all traffic and operational procedures are critical. This position requires adherence to all company safety policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ). While operating machinery, you will also be involved in some manual tasks, which may include Lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklift equipment.
- Stack and arrange inventory according to established guidelines.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with order picking and fulfillment tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear aisles.
- Follow all safety regulations and company procedures.
- Wear required PPE , including safety shoes and vests.
- Contribute to efficient warehouse operations and inventory accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management principles.
- Ability to perform routine checks on equipment.
- Understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE .
- Physical ability to perform tasks including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
