As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately documenting, inspecting, and organizing all incoming shipments. This role requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure that all received items match purchase orders and are free from damage. You will be the first point of contact for deliveries, coordinating with carriers and internal departments to ensure a seamless process. Maintaining accurate inventory records and reporting any discrepancies are key functions of this position. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and invoices.
- Document all incoming deliveries and report any discrepancies or damages.
- Organize and stock received materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Operate pallet jacks and other lifting equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly receiving area.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, drivers, and internal staff.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a related field is a strong asset.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
