We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist for our Orlando, Florida facility. In this key role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include performing cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing stock levels, and ensuring efficient warehouse organization. This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, impacting everything from order fulfillment to financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of inventory management systems and best practices. A commitment to safety and efficiency is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and report any stock outs or overstock situations.
- Ensure proper organization and placement of inventory within the warehouse.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs) as needed during inventory checks.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of safety regulations within a warehouse environment and the importance of PPE.
