We are looking for a diligent Picker/Packer to join our team in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that customer orders are accurately assembled and prepared for dispatch. Your responsibilities will span both picking items from our inventory and meticulously packing them for secure transit. This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be organized, efficient, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive work atmosphere. You will utilize scanning technology and pick lists to locate merchandise and then carefully package items, ensuring they meet our quality standards before they leave the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Select correct items from warehouse stock based on customer orders and pick lists.
- Verify order accuracy and product details before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, using appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during shipping.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and tape guns safely.
- Follow all company safety guidelines, including the mandated use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock replenishment when required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Prior experience in a picking and packing or similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to handle frequent Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Comfortable wearing required PPE, such as safety glasses and gloves.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
