As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials within our warehouse. This role is critical to the efficient flow of goods through our logistics network. You will operate various types of material handling equipment, ensuring that inventory is tracked, stored, and transported safely and accurately. A strong commitment to safety is paramount; adherence to all safety regulations and consistent use of required PPE are non-negotiable. This position involves significant physical demands, including frequent lifting of up to 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods. Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery is highly desirable. We provide comprehensive training on our specific systems and procedures, but a solid foundation in warehouse operations is essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Receive, identify, and stock incoming materials.
- Verify inventory accuracy and report discrepancies.
- Assist with order picking and packing as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Participate in physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operation certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects (up to 60 lbs).
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and logistics operations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment.
- Commitment to safety and correct use of PPE.
