We have an exciting opportunity for a Picker/Packer in our Huntsville, Alabama facility. This role is fundamental to our logistics and distribution operations, ensuring that orders are picked accurately and packed efficiently for shipment to our valued customers. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving products from warehouse shelves, verifying order details, and then carefully packing these items into appropriate shipping containers. Your ability to work quickly and precisely is key to meeting our operational demands. We are seeking organized, detail-oriented individuals who can thrive in a dynamic warehouse environment. The role involves physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting products of various weights. Safety is our utmost priority; therefore, all team members must adhere strictly to safety procedures and utilize the required PPE at all times. Your role ensures that our customers receive exactly what they ordered, in perfect condition, and on time. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory based on pick tickets or system prompts.
- Verify product identification and quantities during the picking process.
- Select appropriate packaging materials for items.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into shipping cartons.
- Label packages accurately for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and use required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs. Previous picking and packing experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good manual dexterity for packing. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE is essential.
