Join our busy warehouse team in Sacramento, California as an Order Picker! This fast-paced role is essential to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves according to order tickets or electronic lists, utilizing scanning equipment to track inventory movements, and preparing picked items for packing and shipping. We are looking for individuals who are energetic, reliable, and possess a strong attention to detail. The ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, including performing tasks that require consistent standing, walking, and occasional heavy lifting, is crucial. Your diligence in picking the correct items and quantities will directly impact customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. You will work collaboratively with a team of dedicated warehouse associates to meet daily order fulfillment targets. Adherence to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory. - Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders.
- Use handheld scanners to track inventory and confirm picks.
- Verify item codes and quantities before confirming orders.
- Stage picked items for the packing department.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
- Meet productivity goals for picking accuracy and speed.
Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs regularly. Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is preferred but not required. Must be able to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Good communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work various shifts, including potential overtime. Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes. Commitment to workplace safety and the mandatory use of PPE.
