You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust inventory control procedures, conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and optimizing stock levels to support our logistics operations. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and supply chain principles is essential. Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and ensure product integrity.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations and logistics teams to optimize inventory flow.
- Monitor and control inventory accuracy within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Train other staff members on inventory control best practices.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, accuracy, and movement.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to perform physical inventory tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Deep commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and reporting skills.
