Our Orlando, Florida facility is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to oversee and manage our warehouse inventory with precision and efficiency. This critical role ensures the accuracy of our stock levels, identifies discrepancies, and implements procedures to maintain optimal inventory health. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating stock variances, and coordinating with various departments to resolve inventory issues. A strong understanding of logistics, warehouse management systems, and keen analytical skills are essential. This position demands meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to upholding safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Implement and refine inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with purchasing and operations teams to ensure adequate supply and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
- Oversee the proper handling and storage of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Train and guide other warehouse personnel on inventory procedures.
- Prepare inventory reports for management review.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar warehouse/logistics role.
- Proficiency with WMS software and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform tasks involving lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
