Are you a detail-oriented individual seeking an opportunity in the fast-paced logistics industry? We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our facility in Miami, Florida. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that customer orders are accurately assembled and prepared for shipment. Your duties will involve locating specific items within the warehouse, carefully packaging them according to established standards, and preparing them for dispatch. Precision and speed are key, as is a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace. This position requires physical agility and a keen eye for detail, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and the efficiency of our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations based on order slips or scanner data.
- Inspect picked items for quality and accuracy before packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and securely pack items to prevent damage during transit.
- Affix shipping labels and any required documentation to packages.
- Operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks.
- Use of required PPE is mandatory at all times.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
- Communicate with supervisors about any order discrepancies or issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker, packer, or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of safe lifting techniques, with the capacity for lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse environments and basic logistics concepts.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Must understand and adhere to all safety guidelines, including the use of PPE.
