Join our fast-paced warehouse environment as an Order Picker in Richmond, Virginia. This critical role supports our **Logistics** operations by accurately and efficiently selecting products for customer orders. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to **Safety**. You will be responsible for using order pick lists or scanners to locate and retrieve merchandise from warehouse shelves. Careful handling of products to prevent damage is essential. You will also be responsible for staging picked items for packing and verifying order accuracy before it moves to the next stage. This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ability to perform frequent **Lifting** of items up to 50 lbs and to stand and walk for extended periods is necessary. Adherence to all company **Safety** policies, including the proper use of **PPE** (such as safety shoes and vests), is paramount. Your efficiency and accuracy directly impact customer satisfaction and the overall success of our distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Locate and retrieve merchandise from designated warehouse locations.
- Ensure correct items and quantities are picked.
- Handle products with care to prevent damage.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipping.
- Verify order accuracy against order details.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all **Safety** procedures and **PPE** requirements.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor.
- Meet established picking productivity goals.
