We are seeking a dedicated Order Picker to join our busy warehouse team in Los Angeles, California. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of accuracy is essential for our logistics operations. This position requires a good understanding of warehouse layout and inventory management systems. Safety is a paramount concern; you will be provided with comprehensive training and all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure a secure working environment. The role involves considerable physical activity, including walking, standing, bending, and regular lifting of items up to 45 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from shelves based on order lists or scanner data.
- Verify picked items against order requirements for quantity and type.
- Package picked items for staging and shipment.
- Operate order picking equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) safely.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of picking areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure proper use of required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as walking, standing, and lifting up to 45 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and meet performance targets.
