Are you detail-oriented and organized? Our Atlanta, Georgia location is looking for a Receiving Clerk to manage the incoming flow of goods into our warehouse. This critical role ensures that all incoming shipments are accurately accounted for, inspected, and processed promptly. You will be the first point of contact for arriving products, playing a vital part in our overall logistics and inventory management. Your responsibilities will include unloading delivery trucks, verifying contents against purchase orders, and staging items for put-away. A strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to safety are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks safely and efficiently.
- Verify shipment contents against packing slips and purchase orders, noting any discrepancies.
- Inspect received goods for damage or defects, reporting any issues immediately.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Stage received goods in the designated areas for internal processing or put-away.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate with shipping and inventory teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified) safely.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in warehouse receiving or a similar role is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems or WMS software is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
