We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our busy warehouse in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items for customer orders and then carefully packaging them for shipment. This role is crucial to our Logistics chain, ensuring that our customers receive the correct products in excellent condition, on time. A keen eye for detail, speed, and a commitment to Safety are essential qualifications. Key responsibilities include:
- Accurately pick specified items from warehouse inventory using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect items for any defects or damage before packing.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure safe transit.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain an organized and clean workstation and warehouse area, following all Safety procedures.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and inventory counts as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to meet daily order fulfillment goals.
The ideal candidate is a motivated and detail-oriented individual with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in a picking or packing role within Logistics is preferred. This position requires physical stamina, including frequent Lifting of items up to 35 pounds, standing for extended periods, and walking. Your Safety is our top priority, and we provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
