We are looking for a dedicated Order Picker to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting items from our warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the correct products are picked, in the correct quantities, and prepared for shipment. This position is integral to our **Logistics** network, directly impacting customer satisfaction. You will operate electric pallet jacks and other picking equipment to navigate the warehouse and retrieve products. A strong commitment to **Safety** is essential, and you must adhere to all company **Safety** policies and wear the required **PPE** at all times. This role involves significant physical activity, including walking, bending, and frequent **Lifting** of items weighing up to 50 lbs. Experience with voice-picking technology or RF scanners is highly desirable. We are seeking individuals who are detail-oriented, possess a strong work ethic, and can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Read order sheets and accurately pick items from warehouse locations.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order requirements.
- Use electric pallet jacks and other equipment to retrieve items.
- Place picked items onto designated carts or pallets for transport.
- Ensure picked items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of picking areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Follow all **Safety** procedures and wear all required **PPE**.
- Report any issues with inventory, equipment, or **Safety** hazards.
- Meet established productivity targets for order picking.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous order picking experience preferred.
- Ability to perform **Lifting** of up to 50 lbs repetitively.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment operation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of **Logistics** and inventory flow.
- Commitment to **Safety** and proper use of **PPE**.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
