We are hiring an Order Picker in Sacramento, California! This essential role involves accurately selecting products from our warehouse inventory to fulfill customer orders. As an Order Picker, you will contribute directly to the efficiency of our logistics operations by ensuring that the right items are picked, packed, and staged for shipment. You’ll work in a dynamic warehouse environment, requiring focus, speed, and precision. Maintaining a safe work area and adhering to all company safety procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE, is crucial for success in this role. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, possess a strong work ethic, and are capable of performing the physical demands of the job, including regular lifting. Your attention to detail will ensure order accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves based on picking lists or scanner data.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order details.
- Transport picked items to designated staging areas using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks).
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace to promote efficiency and safety.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stock checks.
- Meet productivity targets for order picking.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret order instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety practices.
- Understanding of basic logistics concepts.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
